Beroz Nikmal Mirdin, a season corporate figure in the Renewable Energy sector, joined IPMUDA Berhad as its Executive Chairman in 2020. He has held various senior positions in the industry including as the Chief Executive Officer of Telekosang Hydro, Managing Director of Perak Hydro Renewable Energy Corporation and Executive Director of Gunung Capital Berhad.

An electrical engineer by training, Beroz was involved in coordinating the movements of wholesale electricity in the United States whilst attached to the System Planning Department of PJM Interconnection LLC from 1998 to 2006. Subsequently, Beroz returned to Malaysia and served as Deputy Chief Engineer, Systems Operations Department of Tenaga Nasional Berhad. He was also formerly the Vice President of Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad.

Beroz holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Widener University, USA and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University, USA.

Abdul Halim Jantan joined the board of IPMUDA Berhad as its Independent Non-Executive Director on 2 November 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience spanning over 40 years, particularly in the areas of corporate governance and risk management.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd (Sterling), an Insurance Broking and Consulting company. Sterling has developed into being one of the leading local specialist insurance brokers in the Power Generation Industry (IPPs), Financial Institutions, Utilities, Marine, Energy and Large Infrastructure Projects with notable clients including Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), UEM Group Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd, Malakoff Corporation Berhad, SME Bank Berhad, Asian Finance Bank, Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), Syarikat Perumahan Nasional Berhad and Syarikat Prasarana Negara (RapidKL).

Prior to that, Abdul Halim served AMI Insurans Berhad in various senior positions, including as the Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2000. He had also contributed immensely to industry associations including as the Management Committee of General Insurance Association, Convenor of Insurance Industry Consolidation Committee (joint effort with Bank Negara Malaysia), and Chairman of Mergers & Acquisitions Committee ((joint effort with Bank Negara Malaysia)

Abdul Halim is currently a Director of Theta Edge Berhad and Fellow of Malaysian Insurance Institute.

Jeffri M. Yusup joined the board and senior management as Chief Executive Officer on 18 June 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in corporate management, accounting and finance and business administration, spanning over 30 years.

Jeffri has successfully founded sizeable organisations in the healthcare sector namely, Pusat Perubatan Naluri, Rampai Puteri Medical Centre, and Malaysia’s first healthcare management company – HMO Pacific Sdn Bhd.

Prior to this, Jeffri has served in various organisations in the financial services and corporate sectors including Arab Malaysian Bank, Shell Malaysia Berhad, and InCam Asset Management. He has also previously served as Director of Institutional Broking at Kenanga Investment Bank.

Jeffri is a graduate of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.

Dato’ Amiruddin joined the Board of IPMUDA Berhad as its Independent Non-Executive Director on 19 August 2020. Dato’ Amiruddin was formerly the President & Managing Director of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, a position he held for almost 8 years. He contributed actively to the development of the Malaysian Healthcare sector having served in various boards and management positions within KPJ Healthcare Berhad for over 26 years.

He is currently the Director General of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).

Dato’ Amiruddin is a member of the Malaysia Advisory Committee (MAC) of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and was the former Vice President of the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM).

A member of the ACCA, Dato’ Amiruddin is an alumnus of the Henley Business School, University of Reading, United Kingdom where he obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 2010.

Mr. Teh’s extensive experience lies in corporate governance, finance, accounting, taxation and management reporting, where he served in several public listed companies in the manufacturing, plantation, milling, property development, trading and mining activities, property management and security industries.

Mr. Teh also possesses over 12 years of experience in an established public accounting firm in the field of corporate compliance.

He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Komarkcorp Berhad.

Mr. Teh is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Internal Auditors of Malaysia.

Mr Baevin commenced his management consulting career with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 2000. There he worked on consulting projects in industries such as Power, Automative and Financial Services across the Asia Pacific region.

In 2007, Mr Baevin left the BCG to set up a boutique management consulting firm where he served the Malaysian Government and Government Linked Companies on projects related to strategy and turnaround. Some of his career highlights includes the set up and execution of the power sector reform program for the Malaysian power sector, carve-out of an O&M company for a regional telco company and turnaround of various companies.

He has also been engaged by DRB-HICOM as a part of the senior management team to support implementation of special initiatives. Apart from consulting, Mr Baevin is a Board member of various private limited companies, including that of a 40MW mini-hydro power plant.

Mr Baevin completed his secondary education in Royal Military College (RMC) and went on to graduate from Imperial College London in1998 with a Bachelor degree (1st Class) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Mr. Adrian brings along 15 years of Sales & Marketing experience in Strategic & Product Marketing, Sales Management, Trade Segmentation & Business Development, Brand Development & Communication and Engineering Service Management Strategies.

Before joining IPMUDA, Mr. Adrian was the Country Manager for a Singapore-based company. Adrian also spent 8 years at Hilti, a European multinational which specializes in supplying highly differentiated construction tools and materials.

Mr. Adrian is a member for R.E.A.M (Road Engineering Association Malaysia), R.E.A.A.A (Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia) & BEM (Board of Engineering Malaysia). Mr. Adrian holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Izzat Alhadjri, currently manages the full spectrum of Corporate Communications and specializes in Strategic Communications, Public Relations and Stakeholder Management. Prior to joining IPMUDA Berhad, Izzat was the Head of Corporate Communications and Chairman of Human Rights Taskforce for Malaysia’s largest property developer, Sime Darby Property Berhad.  

He started his career in Governance having served as an Audit and Compliance Executive before being appointed the youngest and sole Special Officer to the President and Group Chief Executive of Sime Darby Berhad in 2015. Subsequently, Izzat served in multiple functions within the Group, including Strategy & Transformation and Corporate Affairs & Stakeholder Management.

Izzat was also a member of the Secretariat of the Council of Eminent Persons, the Prime Minister’s advisory body in 2018 as well as the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA) Youth.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from King’s College London and a Master of Science in Regulations from London School of Economics & Political Science. During his undergraduate study, he was also elected as Vice Chairman of the United Kingdom & Eire Council.

Pn. Rahaidah brings over 19 years of experience in the healthcare sector to IPMUDA. Her first foray in healthcare was in 2001 when she served in the development of Pusat Perubatan Naluri, a private healthcare facility for women and children. Subsequently, she served as the General Manager of Rampai Puteri Medical Centre.

Besides healthcare, Pn. Rahaidah also has experience in the utilities and construction industries.

Pn. Rahaidah is a graduate from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Prior to IPMUDA, Ms. Sarah was with Jentayu Capital Sdn. Bhd., an investment holding company. She played a significant role in the development of two renewable energy projects in Sabah and Kedah respectively.

Ms. Sarah began her career at Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn Bhd, an agency involved in the development of the bio-based industry in Malaysia.

Ms. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biotechnology Industry from University of Selangor, Malaysia and a Master of Business Administration from University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia.
